The Park High School Activities Center will be the place to be on Saturday, April 27 for the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce-sponsored 19th Annual Community Showcase.
The Community Showcase will again be packed with the best in local businesses and community and non-profit organizations, and it’s a great place to learn what the community has to offer.
The event is open to all ages and is a family friendly experience with a lot to offer. There will be business booths, job fair, kids’ activities, entertainment, shopping, local restaurants offering great food, prizes and more.
“The goal of our Community Showcase is to bring the Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park and surrounding area residents to one location where they can learn more about local businesses and organizations that make our communities amazing and why it is important to support and shop local,” according to the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.
Businesses and local organizations interested in having a booth can contact Laurie Levine at the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce at laurie@cottagegrovechamber.org or call 651-458-8334.
The event is held annually and is always a great celebration of community pride. It’s also a great chance to connect with local officials, as the Cottage Grove City Council and public safety teams always have staff on hand to meet with the public.
“It’s a day to discover why supporting and shopping local is so important and how it strengthens our community bonds,” said Cottage Grove Chamber President Laurie Levine. “Whether you’re a long standing member of our community or new to the area, the Community Showcase is the perfect opportunity to connect with neighbors, support local businesses and find out how you can get involved in enriching our community. It’s more than event. It’s a celebration of strength, resilience and creativity that defines us.”
At the job fair this year, one unique feature will be the Virtual Job Fair, sponsored by Sovran, Inc. Job-seekers will get a virtual reality peak into careers.
“This cutting edge experience allows you to engage with employers and discover new paths virtually, reflecting our commitment to leveraging technology for community growth,” said Levine. “Don’t miss this unique opportunity to step into the future of career exploration at our Community Showcase.”
